Seventh-day Adventist Church of the Firstborn

Why are we Seventh-day Adventist?

Hello brethren, grace and peace to you from God our Father and His only begotten Son the Lord Jesus Christ. You may 144,000 throne of God rainbow seventh-day adventist church of the firstbornhave noticed the name “Seventh-day Adventist Church of the Firstborn” on the banner and wondered what does this mean?  We have “been shown that this name means much, and in adopting it we have followed the light given us from heaven…”(Ellen White MS 15, 1896)

We have also been shown regarding our name that “this distinctive banner is to be borne through the world to the CLOSE OF PROBATION.”(ibid.) and that ” of this name we are NEVER to be ashamed.“(ibid.) And also that “It is the name the Lord has given us. It points out the TRUTH that is to be the TEST of the churches.” (Ellen White 2SM 384) and there are many “professed” and “nominal Adventists” who are bearing this banner today.

We also recognize that “The name Seventh-day Adventist is a standing rebuke to the Protestant world. Here is the line of distinction between the worshipers of God and those who worship the beast and receive his mark. The great conflict is between the commandments of God and the requirements of the beast… The name Seventh-day Adventist carries the true features of our faith in front and will convict the inquiring mind. Like an arrow from the Lord’s quiver, it will wound the transgressors of God’s law, and will lead to repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Ellen White 1T 223, 24)

The “inquiring mind” when confronted with the name inquires as to what this means and why you are a Seventh-day Adventist.  And though God’s law will wound the transgressor, the transgressor is pointed to Christ as His Savior.(Gal 3:24)   This is why we call ourselves Seventh-day Adventist.   We do realize that the name has no virtue in itself and this is not what saves us, however, by principle we believe we are truly Seventh-day Adventist.  In the same manner as many might believe they are Abraham’s seed, Christian, Protestant, Israel, or Jews.

Mat 3:9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

John the baptist warned the pharisee’s of believing that just being called by a name did not save anyone.  And Jesus made it clear who were Abraham’s seed.  “They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.“(John 8:39)

The Church

It is our conviction that the Church is built out of stones and God is raising these stones.  And also that it is not built with hands and with dead stones.  But rather “Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house,”(1 Pet 2:5).   God has a church. It is not the great cathedral, neither is it the national establishment, neither is it the various denominations; it is the people who love God and keep His commandments. “Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matt. 18:20).Where Christ is even among the humble few, this is Christ’s church, for the presence of the High and Holy One who inhabiteth eternity can alone constitute a church (The Upward Look, p. 315).

And this Church is not disorderly, nor will God work with irregularity, disorganization, and disorder.   “But never, never will these heavenly messengers place their endorsement upon irregularity, disorganization, and disorder. All these evils are the result of Satan’s efforts to weaken our forces, to destroy our courage, and prevent successful action.” (Ellen White CET 199)

In order for the stones to fit tightly together, to be built up a spiritual house, they must be properly polished.   These living stones cannot polish one another if they are anti-social, and then the framing of the house will not fit tightly together.(Eph 2:12-22)

“Those who shut themselves up within themselves,  who are unwilling to be drawn upon to bless others by friendly associations, lose many blessings; for by mutual contact, minds receive polish and refinement; by social intercourse, acquaintances are formed and friendships contracted which result in a unity of heart and an atmosphere of love which is pleasing in the sight of heaven.”—(Ellen White Testimonies for the Church 6:172)

Church of the Firstborn – The Foundation

It is our understanding that there are 2 organizations today.  Man’s organization, and God’s organization.  We believe that in Matthew 16:16-18 “Peter had expressed the truth which is the foundation of the church’s faith” (DA 413).

And that the foundational truth or “rock” was the identity of Christ as God’s firstborn and only begotten Son.

Mat 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Jesus replied that “upon this rock I will build my church;”(Matt 16:18).  This saying that Peter said is the Rock on which the Church is built.   The love of God is expressed in that “In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.”(1 John 4:9)

We believe that this is the rock on which the church is built.  That Christ is the Son of God.  But it goes further as we believe that – “God so loved the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son,”—not a son by creation, as were the angels, nor a son by adoption, as is the forgiven sinner, but a Son begotten in the express image of the Father’s person.” (Ellen White, The Signs of the Times, May 30, 1895)

We recognize this to have happened “Before Christ came in the likeness of men, he existed in the express image of his Father.” (Ellen White, Youth’s Instructor, December 20, 1900)

And we also believe that “The dedication of the first-born had its origin in the earliest timesGod had promised to give the First-born of heaven to save the sinner.” {Ellen White The Desire of Ages, p. 51}

And we believe that “God has a Church” and it is “the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven.” (Heb 12:23)  The rock being the understanding that Christ is truly the Son of the Father, “the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:”(Col 1:15)

Building a New Organization on Sand

God’s Church is built on a rock. It is built by Jesus Christ.  The church that has rejected the foundation described above was to be built on sand.  We are told in a prophecy by Ellen White that if we rejected the foundation the following would occur:

“Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A new organization would be established. Books of a new order would be written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a wonderful work. The Sabbath of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the new movement. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but God being removed, they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure.”  Selected Messages Book 1-Page 204, 205

In 1980 the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists released the handbook 27 fundamental beliefs.  And though for many years earlier the Conference had been teaching the Trinity, it was in 1980 that they announced officially the Trinity as the #2 fundamental belief and the religion had been “changed”.

“There is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a unity of three co-eternal Persons.”—Fundamental Beliefs, 2

The teaching that Christ has no origin takes away from his literal sonship, and this is what is meant by the words “co-eternal”.  We believe Christ originated from eternity or everlasting.  (Pro 8:22-30, Micah 5:2, John 1:1).

It also takes away from what the Father gave to His Son, and what the Father has given to the world.  This also makes God out to be a liar and pretender, pretending to have given a Son, and the Son to be pretending to have a Father.

1Jn 5:10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

This doctrine of the Trinity we believe is the foundation of the Catholic Church and Babylon.  “The mystery of the Trinity is the central doctrine of the catholic church.  Upon it are based all the teachings of the church”[Handbook for todays Catholic Page 11]

We believe that this is what it means when Ellen said  “A new organization would be established…Their foundation would be built on sand”(1 SM 207).  This doctrine is contrary to the teachings and foundation of the church built on the rock, and the conference church cannot therefore be “God’s Church” or “the Church” or the “Seventh-day Adventist Church” since it is not built on the rock, and therefore is not built by Jesus Christ.

Many have misunderstood us to be calling “the Seventh-day Adventist Church” Babylon,  but this is not the case as we don’t see the General Conference as the “Seventh-day Adventist Church”, but is merely a counterfeit organization, built on a counterfeit foundation.

Act 4:11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

Some have assumed that we have left “the Church”.  But the opposite is true:

“Romanists have persisted in bringing against Protestants the charge of heresy and willful separation from the true church. But these accusations apply rather to themselves. They are the ones who laid down the banner of Christ and departed from “the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” Jude 3.”  {Ellen White Great Controversy Page 51}

Sometimes those who have left the faith delivered to the saints are the accusers,  according to one of the early pioneers of Seventh-day Adventism and the husband to Ellen White, he wrote that even a particular doctrine would separate us from the true church and faith delivered to the saints.

“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for THE faith which was once delivered unto the saints…” (Jude 3, 4) …The exhortation to contend for the faith delivered to the saints, is to us alone. And it is very important for us to know what for and how to contend. In the 4th verse he gives us the reason why we should contend for THE faith, a particular faith; “for there are certain men,” or a certain class who deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.… The way spiritualizers have disposed of or denied the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ is first using the old unscriptural Trinitarian creed, viz., that Jesus Christ is the eternal God, though they have not one passage to support it, while we have plain scripture testimony in abundance that he is the Son of the eternal God.(James White, January 24, 1846, The Day Star)

So who really is a Seventh-day Adventist?  There is much more to be said on this matter.  But we believe that God truly did love the world so much that he really did give His only begotten Son, the firstborn of heaven from earliest times, begotten in the express image of God, his Father, and our Father.(John 20:17)

The name “Seventh-day Adventist Church of the Firstborn” is a standing rebuke to the General Conference and it carries the true features of our faith in front and it convicts the inquiring mind.

The issue of order and organization is very important to the body of Christ.  And we have found that the following truth is to be fulfilled.

What we want now is a reorganization. We want to begin at the foundation” [Last Day Events, page 53]

The true family of God are not those who have just been baptized and therefore have a certificate or membership to any particular denomination.  There is one denominated people written in the books of heaven and includes God, Christ, and the Holy angels that can truly give the message to “Fear God and give glory to Him..and worship Him”(Rev 14:7).  But first they must know who He is?  Is He a mystery that cannot be known?  Or is He our Father in Heaven, a divine and Holy Father, the God and Father of our Lord and brother Jesus Christ.

Romans 2:28-29 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: (29) But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

And he is not an Adventist which is one outwardly, but rather one who circumcised in the heart and Spirit.  God is able to raise stones to be Seventh-day Adventists.   Spiritual stones built up a spiritual house, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God…”(1 John 3:1, 2)

The call to you is to “prove all things”(1 Thess 5:21), “…try the spirits whether they are of God:”(1 John 4:1),

1Jn 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

Right before the plagues are poured out we see the following.

“I dreamed of seeing a temple to which many people were flocking. Only those who took refuge in that temple would be saved when time should close. All who remained outside would be forever lost. The multitudes without, who were going their various ways, were deriding and ridiculing those who were entering the temple, and told them that this plan of safety was a cunning deception, that, in fact, there was no danger whatever to avoid. They even laid hold of some to prevent them from hastening within the walls.” (Ellen White Early Writings, page 78)

Satan’s deception is to keep God’s people from coming out of the “nominal Adventist” churches.

“I saw that God has honest children among the nominal Adventists and the fallen churches, and before the plagues Ellen Whiteshall be poured out, ministers and people will be called out from these churches and will gladly receive the truth. Satan knows this; and before the loud cry of the third angel is given, he raises an excitement in these religious bodies, that those who have rejected the truth may think that God is with them. He hopes to deceive the honest and lead them to think that God is still working for the churches. But the light will shine, and all who are honest will leave the fallen churches, and take their stand with the remnant.” (Ellen White Early Writings 261).

“Come and See”(John 1:39)

“Answer: You are mistaken in supposing that S. D. Adventists teach that Christ was ever created. They believe, on the contrary, that he was “begotten” of the Father, and that he can properly be called God and worshiped as such. They believe, also, that the worlds, and everything which is, was created by Christ in conjunction with the Father. They believe, however, that somewhere in the eternal ages of the past there was a point at which Christ came into existence. They think that it is necessary that God should have antedated Christ in his being, in order that Christ could have been begotten of him, and sustain to him the relation of son. They hold to the distinct personality of the Father and Son, rejecting as absurd that feature of Trinitarianism which insists that God, and Christ, and the Holy Spirit are three persons, and yet but one person. S. D. Adventists hold that God and Christ are one in the sense that Christ prayed that his disciples might be one; i. e., one in spirit, purpose, and labor. See “Fundamental Principles of S. D. Adventists,” published at this Office.”(RH April 17, 1883)

“Wonderful statement! The unity that exists between Christ and His disciples does not destroy the personality of either. They are one in purpose, in mind, in character, but not in person. IT IS THUS THAT GOD AND CHRIST ARE ONE. (Ellen White 8T 269).
